La usurpadora, telenovela (also called La chicharrera) is a Mexican telenovela produced by Emilio Larrosa in 1999. It ran for 110 episodes from September 1999 to June 2000 on Canal de las Estrellas. The cast included Sandra Echeverría, Arap Bethke, Andrés Palacios, Catalina López, and the debut of Arleth Terán and Daniela Romo.Synopsis
La usurpadora is the story of two girls who were separated at birth, both named Isabel. One lives in a family with two sons, where she can have everything she wants. The other is raised by an aunt who is very tough on her. Years later, the family with which Isabel grew up is poor, whereas the aunt is rich and owns a huge estate. Isabel from the rich family travels to the poor aunt’s estate to try and see if she can find a way to inherit her father’s fortune. She finds the aunt there and they begin to get to know each other. Isabel finds that she can not accept the fact that her aunt is richer than she is. She knows that she has to make her aunt leave. A relationship begins between them, but the new couple soon find out that Isabel's rich aunt has other plans for Isabel and her husband.
